I choose life

There is so much to say

I can not hear your voice

Break your silence

Let us not whisper

There is no longer any choice

*

Can I be your voice

Share what’s in your heart

I speak, I shout, on your behalf

Lies and truths I shall impart

*

On your behalf

I set upon the world your

sad & unfair story

Leave your footprints on our souls

In future days I wish a wisp of glory

*

Those without a voice

Let us fight your war

We will not let you be forgotten

Even though we can’t hear you anymore

*

They prevail over you

they dominate

They take your choices

Give you cause to hate

*

Yet you don’t

*

We share your stories

In anticipation

Surround you with our love

Educate a nation

*

I make a wish

I could protect you

I will always be your voice

I pick you

I love you

I respect your choice

You choose life

I pray for you

Transition

From her tippy toes to the top of her head

Warmth rising

Flushing her cheeks

To a glorious rosy red

*

Giddiness, joy, elation

Her head did spin

Was it the champagne

Or daily life intoxication

*

A beautiful memory

A face looking at her

Feeling nostalgic

oh dear how young we were

*

Her life of spectacular moments

Tells story upon her beautiful face

Softness, fine lines

Charming, full of grace

*

Youth lays behind

Only in time

Keep dreaming of that life

Passion keeps you in prime

*

A turning point

A time of transition

A time in life

A new definition

*

From light to dark

She will shine inside

It’s grey, Imperfect

Move effortlessly through to the other side

*

Wisdom and experience

As she enters a new phase

Elegance, truth and love

She will continue to navigate life’s maze

*

Welcome to middle age a time of transition. It doesn’t have to be a time of darkness. Stay in the light 💋💋💋

#thursday prompt Sue Vincent

A crushed dream

Tell me words of love

Hold me to you tight

Wrap your warm arms around me

I promise I won’t wriggle or fight

*

Whisper in my ear

How much you love me so

Look into my face with affection

Please don’t let me go

*

Sit me on your knee

Jiggle me up and down

Please don’t stop

But if you do

I promise I won’t cry or frown

*

I’ll be a good girl daddy

Just you wait and see

I’ll eat my veggies, count to ten

If you just stay and keep on loving me

*

Never leave me daddy

You vowed to never leave my side

I will hold your hand everyday

I long to be your joy, your pride

*

You abandoned my daddy

You left me it would seem

You made a promise to me

Your gift to me, a crushed dream

*

A seed is planted

A seed is planted

Growth begins

Healthy roots equals solid values

We grow our foundation,

spreading deep within

.

The trunk

Unwavering solidity

Withstanding storms

It sways, but it stands strong

Reflecting our enduring integrity

.

The branches

Different paths and lessons

in one lifetime

Diverse journeys,

various directions

.

The leaves

are cycles we experience on our way

Like the branches

Some stay

Some fly away

.

Others will fall

Some branches are very long

And outlast them all

Roots of Goodness

Dear mum,

*

*

Tender in heart, motherly in nature

My maker, my giver

My mentor

My teacher

*

*

Your life, a story etched

upon your beautiful face

It tells of a life lived

It was hard, there were challenges

You lived through it all,

full of grace

*

*

Enduring more the many who know you

would ever know

Stories that shaped who you are today

Resembling the buds of a flower

You survived

You did bloom

You did grow

*

*

I celebrate you my mother

Strong in body, mind and heart

Encompassed with a

beautiful vehicle

Your goodness, ethics, honour

Your love,

a brilliant miracle

*

*

Your spirit,

Your inner essence

Your whole being

A peaceful presence

*

*

Your kindred deeply grounded

Sun shines on your foundations

Light from you,

Abundant love is surrounded

*

*

I revere you

Determined, resilient,

strength that carried you far

I respect you

Deep rooted, immersed within,

In my heart is where you are!

*

*

The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness Dalai Lama

Anzac Day – we will never forget

Every year I attend dawn service for Anzac Day. Every year the crowd grows. Every year I watch younger generations joining in with the older generations connected in spirit to remember those who fought for our country and lost their lives. Every year I cry for those we lost. On this day, every year I could not be more proud to be Australian.

Courage, tenacity, spirit and mateship was the essence of these heroic men. Many of those were the age of my generation sons.

We will never forget ❣️

.

.

I wrote this poem last year ❤️

.

.

25th April 1915

Saw an armada of ships

On the coast line of turkey convene

.

.

Our troops descended upon the shore

Of foreign lands never tread upon before

In the dark of dawn, the wrong destination

Led sadly to the many casualties of war

.

.

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

Courageous & resilient

Let us not forget those casualties of wars

.

.

Our fathers, our brothers

Sons of proud and sad mothers

Cousins, uncles, our mates

This sad war sealed over 60,000 of our owns fates

.

.

More wars, more departures followed

In solemn silence,

our nation’s grief was swallowed

.

.

25th April 2019

Dawn service

Aussie’s all over the world convene

.

.

We remember there lives 104 years on

Mateship, sacrifice, heroes

The highest honor, the highest award to all of you

Australia bestows

.

.

We will never forget

.

.

Signed A Proud Australian

Beyond the trees

A second chance

The ugly truth

We no longer breathed fresh air

humanities termination

A world which allowed

regrettable ruination

*

We were destructive

Imagine earth with an altered twist

Mankind neglected it

they now cease to exist

*

Animals living together

Respect, kindness now prevails in this world

Trees replenished, clean oceans

Endless space, a beauty unfurled

*

The circle of life persists

As it needs to be

There is no greed

Animals take only

what they need

*

A world that flourishes with new growth

Bees, pollination, flowers and food for all.

The rise after humanities

harrowing fall

*

The dawn of something new

*

The swish of grasses blowing in the wind

The sunlight glistening

on the ocean,

only nature

is quietly listening

*

Easter Sunday resurrection

Beyond the trees

An objects twinkles

Birds are singing, hovering like swarming bees

*

A phenomenon, something so rare

In a forrest fantastical and wild

A world waits anxiously

As if for a first born child

*

The object opens

Through a vent a beautiful face shines

Magical, tiny, delicate

She is kindness,

which not infinity of space confines

*

Graciousness exudes

leaves her safe haven

Patience, decency, selflessness

She walks with nature in purest elation

*

Another chance

A new beginning

A new day for humans

A second inning

*

Will we learn from the kindness of those who have walked before us

In a world where the humans are small

animals are dominant, the leaders,

do you think they would treat us,

as we treated them?

I think not

AMEN 🙏
